Allison Allbee and Saneta deVuono-powell named Senior Fellows

Saneta and Allison

CCI is pleased to announce the addition of two Senior Fellows, Allison Allbee and Saneta deVuono-powell, cofounders of the SEED Collaborative. The SEED Collaborative supports institutions and communities developing visionary initiatives to advance a more equitable and sustainable world. Prior to founding SEED Collaborative, Allison and Saneta were colleagues at ChangeLab Solutions, an organization working nationally to advance equitable laws and policies that ensure healthy lives for all. Allison specializes in housing, community development, and participatory planning and was a 2017-2018 Fulcrum Fellow. Saneta has over a decade of experience working on issues of racial justice, housing, and participatory research. As Senior Fellows, Allison and Saneta will support participants in Connect Capital and Accelerating Investments for Healthy Communities to ensure the equity mission of their efforts are realized and to develop enabling environment strategies that balance the production, preservation, and protection goals to ensure the harms of systemic discrimination and disinvestment are mitigated.

“Allison and Saneta have deep experience in community and economic development. Their work is grounded in practices that reinforce the assets and wisdom of people who experience disinvestment and discrimination,” said Robin Hacke, CCI Executive Director.

“We are delighted to have them working with us and look forward to the impact they will have working with our initiative teams.” “The Center for Community Investment offers a refreshing change to multi-sector collaborations. CCI deeply engages the messy, complicated systemic dynamics that create inertia in the community development field,” Allison and Saneta note. “We are thrilled to work with the CCI teams to illuminate a new path for transformative and equitable community development.”
