A third year student at Tulane Law School, Liza Cowan is a student attorney with the Environmental Law Clinic and a candidate for a certificate in Environmental Law. She was inspired to return to school after working as an independent fellow to study urban stormwater finance and impact investing in New Orleans. Liza has worked on the Gulf Coast since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, including as the South Region Executive with the JPMorgan Chase Foundation and as a program officer at the Greater New Orleans Foundation. She graduated from Dartmouth College, earned a master’s in education from Harvard, and holds a certificate in urban redevelopment from the University of Pennsylvania. Liza currently serves as a co-host and organizer with the Campaign for Equity: New Orleans and as Vice Chair of the Adirondack Council.
