Lyric Kelkar is the Legislative Director for Councilmember Eunisses Hernandez in the City of Los Angeles. She comes to this role having previously served as the Policy Director at Inclusive Action for the City, where she led research and policy advocacy for better access to government systems and protections for low-wage workers, micro entrepreneurs, and small businesses across Los Angeles. She works in multiple coalition spaces to drive equitable policy and community development solutions to counteract exclusion within the field of urban planning at the local, regional, and state levels, including through budget advocacy. Her team’s wins at Inclusive Action for the City included a $50 million California state fund for grants to micro entrepreneurs excluded from pandemic relief, and commercial rent relief for micro businesses in LA County.
