Kate Dykgraaf is Director of Leadership Development at the Center for Community Investment where she leads the Center’s leadership development programs and network. Kate joined CCI in 2017 as Director of Operations, managing events, budgets, grant reporting, and contracts. Prior to joining the Center, Kate was Deputy Director of the White House Council on Strong Cities, Strong Communities (SC2), piloting innovative place-based technical assistance models in distressed cities. Kate also managed more than $30 million in federal grants for the Obama administration's Sustainable Communities Initiative and was a 2010 Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Kate completed the Executive Certificate Program in Leadership Coaching at Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership in 2020 and is pursuing credentialing from the International Coach Federation. Kate holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and English from The College of William and Mary. Kate is a Texpat currently living in Arlington, VA with her husband, son, and labradoodle, always on the lookout for good tacos and brisket.
