
Rebecca (Becca) Steinitz is the Director of Content and Communications at the Center for Community Investment. She previously worked with the Center as a consultant in 2018. Becca brings decades of experience as a writer, editor, and literacy consultant in urban high schools. She has written essays, articles, and reviews for The Boston Globe, The Huffington Post, Washington Post, New Republic, Utne Reader, Salon, and academic journals, among others, as well as reports, proposals, white papers, and other materials for many non-profits. Becca was also previously the Senior Program Officer for the Humanities at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and an English professor at Ohio Wesleyan University. She is the author of Time, Space, and Gender in the Nineteenth-Century British Diary. Becca has a B.A. in English from Yale University and a Ph.D. in English from University of California, Berkeley.
