Sprints and Partnerships

In urban centers and rural areas across the United States, leaders in climate resilience, housing and community development, planning, philanthropy, finance, economic development, and community organizing are coming together to undo the legacy of structural racism and long-term disinvestment. Whether these leaders and their organizations are focusing on a single issue or working collaboratively toward a broader vision, CCI’s capital absorption framework can help them strengthen their local community investment systems so they can create the deal pipelines to realize their priorities and unlock the capital they need to create equitable communities where everyone can thrive.

CCI’s short programs fill the gap between the brief introductions to CCI principles that we offer in presentations and publications and the intensive commitment that our multi-year cohorts entail.

About the Program

Sprints and partnerships provide opportunities for community-based teams to learn about community investment, adaptive leadership, and racial equity and to access one-on-one coaching, peer learning, and new ways to think about their practice. These programs generally focus on a specific issue, sector, or region and include multiple workshops and coaching over the course of several months. These “sweet spot” learning opportunities are targeted, time-limited, collaborative, and action-oriented. Each team that participates leaves with an action plan.
