What We Learned

Over five years, Connecting Capital and Community (3C) brought together partners in five cities—Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Seattle and Washington, DC—to strengthen local housing ecosystems and expand affordable housing. The initiative directly created or preserved 625 homes, is on a trajectory to create many more, and offers lessons for the broader field of community investment.

Our publication, Connecting Capital and Community in Five US Cities: What We Learned, captures five key lessons drawn from examples across all five cities, from connecting disparate housing actors to consolidating homebuyer pipelines. These lessons build on CCI’s ongoing work in housing and community development.
