Leadership Development

CCI offers leadership development opportunities based on our Capital Absorption Framework. To ignite lasting change in communities, leaders focus on community investment, racial equity, and adaptive leadership.

Multiplying Impact

Leadership programs often focus on individual leaders without considering their contexts—in both their locations and fields. CCI brings together different types of leaders working across the country and equips them to lead transformational change, allowing participants to learn from each other and creating a multiplier effect.

The Fellowship not only facilitated my growth as a leader, but it also introduced me to amazing thinkers and practitioners who are transforming how economic development is done in our cities.

Fulcrum Fellowship

The Fulcrum Fellowship equips rising executives in the philanthropic, nonprofit, public, and private sectors to lead transformational change. Grounded in action learning and based on CCI’s capital absorption framework, the program positions Fellows to help disinvested communities achieve their environmental, social, and economic priorities.

California Climate Leaders Fellows

The California Climate Leaders Fellowship addresses the challenges created by climate change—especially in the BIPOC, immigrant, and rural California communities that struggle to get their fair share of resources despite their vulnerability to the impacts of climate change. This requires not just advocacy, but also investment and system change.
