CCI partners with national, regional, and member organizations to take on system-level strategies with their affiliates across the country. Through these partnerships, more community leaders can learn CCI’s approach to transforming community investment.
A Shared Commitment
Across the U.S., local leaders are uniting across fields and sectors to undo the legacy of structural racism and long-term disinvestment. CCI’s partnerships provide opportunities for them to use capital absorption to advance their goals, strengthen their local community investment systems, and unlock the capital they need to create equity in their communities.
Healthy Homes & Communities
The Health Partner Investment Action Lab helps NeighborWorks America affiliates understand how health institutions approach upstream investment in affordable housing. Participants receive funding and capacity building support to work with health institutions to improve the health and wellbeing of their communities by increasing affordable housing.
National Council of State Housing Agencies
NCSHA’s Healthy Housing, Healthy Communities (H3C) partnership aims to support state Housing Finance Agencies to leverage their central role in the affordable housing system to engage health systems in addressing the housing affordability crisis in America.

Community leaders use the Capital Absorption Framework to strengthen collaborative networks, increase the supply of financial resources in their communities and direct them to community priorities, and advance transformative changes in local policies and practices.
CCI offers leadership development opportunities based on our Capital Absorption Framework. To ignite lasting change in communities, leaders focus on community investment, racial equity, and adaptive leadership.
A vibrant and growing network of community investment practitioners is centering capital absorption, racial equity, and adaptive leadership as they reshape community investment. Capital absorption is barely a decade old, so this network is building the field together.
