Aysha is an attorney specializing in equitable policy and philanthropy. She currently leads the Policy Fund at the San Francisco Foundation, which pursues regional solutions to Bay Area’s interconnected challenges of housing, transportation, and economic opportunity. She is also the founder of Movement Praxis, an equity-centered policy and philanthropic consulting firm. She previously led the health equity practice at ChangeLab Solutions and was recognized as one of the de Beaumont Foundation's "40 under 40 in Public Health." With the support of the Fulcrum Fellowship, she developed a framework called "the civil rights of health," a partnership between civil rights, public health, and justice movements.
Aysha previously served as Policy Counsel at the Greenlining Institute, where she worked with a multi-racial coalition to build wealth in communities of color. Her philanthropic work has included leading donor collaboratives in democratic integrity, economic justice, and climate justice. Aysha also served on the founding advisory boards of the Hive Fund for Climate & Gender Justice and the Collaborative Future Fund. She is currently on the board of directors of the Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN) and Baby-Friendly USA.
