Healthy Housing, Healthy Communities

Healthy Housing, Healthy Communities (H3C), a partnership with The National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA), is assisting state housing finance agencies to develop strategic partnerships with hospitals and other health organizations to finance affordable housing.

NCSHA’s H3C initiative aims to leverage the state HFAs’ role at the center of the affordable housing system.

H3C seeks to attract significant health system involvement and elevate community-level leadership in addressing the housing affordability crisis in America. Six state HFAs are receiving grant funding and technical assistance to support the development of partnerships with hospitals and health systems to expand financing for affordable housing. Community leaders will also play a key role in each partnership.
