makayla lorick is a Program Assistant at the Center for Community Investment. Prior to joining CCI, makayla served as a Business Development Associate at Hanover Research where she co-founded the Hanover Black Caucus, implementing the first company-wide diversity training and establishing a Council of Affinity Groups to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace through quarterly initiatives. She brings additional experience in community enhancement from organizing annual service programs in Lexington, Virginia, where she served as President of the Tau Zeta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. makayla holds a B.A. in English from Washington and Lee University.
