Ahmed Mori is the Vice President of Community Economic Development at Catalyst Miami, where he oversees worker cooperative development, real estate investment cooperative development, and efforts to strengthen the non-profit economic development ecosystem in Miami-Dade County. He also leads project and policy implementation research initiatives to investigate how economic and extra-economic institutions, organizations, norms, and conventions both enable and limit cooperative economic projects geared towards social change. As an attorney, Ahmed has represented worker cooperatives, community groups involved in anti-gentrification and anti-displacement struggles, tenants battling eviction in court, and affordable housing and community development nonprofits in Miami, South Texas, and New York City. Ahmed holds a JD from Columbia University School of Law, an MA in Political Economy from Columbia University, and a BA in Philosophy from Florida International University.
