Andrew Crosson is the founding CEO of Invest Appalachia, a regional blended capital fund that invests in a more just, equitable, and sustainable economy. Andrew’s previous work with Rural Support Partners advanced community economic development in Appalachia, including local food systems development, clean energy, impact investing, network development, nonprofit management, and strategic planning. Born and raised on a small farm in the mountains of Western North Carolina, he has a BA in History and Political Science with Honors from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Masters in Sociology with a focus on Rural Development from the University of Granada, Spain. Andrew was a BALLE/Common Future Local Economy Fellow and is on the board of Just Economics of WNC.
