Dillon Delvo is a second-generation Filipino American from South Stockton, California. In 2000, Dillon cocreated Little Manila Rising (LMR) in response to developer attempts to destroy the Little Manila Historic Site in downtown Stockton. LMR’s efforts stopped the development and raised awareness of the history of marginalization in South Stockton. As the current Executive Director of LMR, Dillon has steered LMR toward equitable solutions to the effects of marginalization. LMR’s advocacy work includes successful campaigns for the inclusion of ethnic studies in
their local school district and the discontinuation of the SAT/ACT in the UC system. Their development work has brought essential health and environmental resources to South Stockton. Dillon lives with his wife and daughters in South Stockton.
