Strategic and influential leader with over 18 years of diverse experience, Gloriamar Gamez has dedicated her career to advancing sustainability, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation. Her journey has equipped her with a comprehensive skill set encompassing renewable energy, climate change risk assessments, sustainability, circular economy principles, public policy, project management, strategic planning, new business development, supply chain, procurement, commercial, marketing, and waste and water management. 

Throughout her career, Gloriamar has been privileged to work across the globe, successfully connecting teams from various backgrounds, functions, and geographies. This global perspective has been instrumental in completing projects and exceeding established goals, often in complex and challenging environments. As a passionate advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), she has actively contributed to workplace initiatives, fostering a culture of inclusivity and belonging. 

Currently, Gloriamar is embarking on an exciting new chapter as the Chief Program Officer for BEAM Circular (Bioeconomy Agricultural Manufacturing Circular). In this role, Gloriamar oversee the development and deployment of a diverse portfolio of projects aimed at transforming organic waste and byproducts from the food and agriculture system into valuable resources such as building materials, renewable energy, industrial chemicals, and consumer goods. Leading a team towards achieving ambitious environmental and social impacts is a challenge she embraces wholeheartedly. 

Gloriamar previous roles span from Sr. Sustainability Manager at Henkel Adhesive Technologies in which she led the Sustainability Portfolio Assessment, evaluating product contributions to climate, circularity, nature, and health & safety. She also held several key positions at Dow, including Public Policy Leader for Energy and Climate Change Issues and Energy Manager for Climate Change, Renewables & Regulatory. Gloriamar directed multiple teams to address public policy risks related to energy and climate change. They positioned Dow as a global thought leader on critical policies, developed briefing materials for executives, and represented Dow in various business advocacy organizations and industry trade associations. She managed as well the procurement of renewable energy and compliance for Renewable Portfolio Standards, developed strategies for environmental commodities, and supported Dow’s carbon reduction strategy. 

Her passion for education and knowledge-sharing is evident through my role as a Teacher Assistant for the “Introduction to Sustainable Finance and Investments” course at Harvard Extension School.
