Kim is an independent consultant providing tailored consulting services to nonprofit organizations working to create healthy and vibrant communities, including through more equitable access to capital. Current projects include strengthening the fundraising capacity of a community development financial institution (CDFI), portfolio and asset management support for the impact investing practice of a large national private foundation, and adaptive coaching and investment advising to several leadership cohorts at CCI. During her time as a Field Catalyst, she served as EVP, capital markets for Housing Partnership Network (HPN), a national collaborative of 100+ affordable housing nonprofits. There, she raised capital and grants and oversaw HPN’s lending and strategic communications. Previously, Kim was deputy director of Social Investments at the Kresge Foundation and senior director of lending at Capital Impact Partners. Kim graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in community studies and sociology from UC Santa Cruz, and has a master’s in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
