Kory Hayden is a dedicated advocate for rural community and economic development, centered in Siskiyou County.  As a Senior Program Director for the Siskiyou Economic Development Council, Kory focuses on inspiring climate investment and innovation in Siskiyou’s small historic cities, and key agriculture, outdoor recreation and wood utilization sectors. Kory helped launch the Siskiyou Climate Collaborative in 2022, which unites six partners across expertise areas, to build capacity for climate priorities in Siskiyou County. The Collaborative earned a regional climate collaborative designation by California’s Strategic Growth Council in 2023. Known for her leadership in community planning and industry collaboration, Kory emphasizes the importance of Siskiyou County’s rural and working lands as key assets to California’s future and climate goals. Outside of her professional endeavors, Kory enjoys spending time with friends in the stunning outdoor landscapes of California’s True North. Kory holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, CA.
