Melissa is an independent consultant. Previously, she held various roles at LISC, a national community development financial institution and intermediary, including Director of the Our Town Creative Placemaking Technical Assistance Program, Director of Community Impact, and Deputy Director of LISC Philadelphia. Before LISC, Melissa led arts and culture-based community development programs at The Village of Arts and Humanities, Asian Arts Initiative, and the North 5th Street Revitalization Project. She earned her MS in Community and Regional Planning and JD from Temple University and BA from Amherst College. She serves on the boards of The Village of Arts and Humanities and Friends of the Rail Park.
